LaBella 760FM VS 0760M What's the difference

I've been looking at getting a set of LaBella deep talkin flats to try out and I was wondering what the difference between the two is? Mostly in terms of sound and feel but if there's a difference other than gauge I'd be curious to know

The gauges seem similar accept maybe the A string so what's the difference in tension and stiffness like.

I've seen a few old threads on this but none really gave me the answers I was looking for.

The 0760M has a larger core-to-wrap ratio, meaning the core wires used are thicker to achieve extra stiffness.

FM is easier to play and intonate. i have used both extensively and find both the FM and M not very practical for most musical situations because of how dark of a sound they produce and the stiffness. the M is very noticeably more tense than the FM. using the FS now and feel that these are more clear sounding and have plenty of tension, attack and thump if that's what you desire.

I want a really dark sound so I'm fine with that part. As far as I know the fs set is pretty close in tension to the strings I'm using now and I want something a bit stiffer.

I have the 0760M Jamersons on my Yamaha 734a and love them . Zero problems with tension or intonation . Versatile tone with the active electronics and love the feel . To each their own I suppose . The world would be a dull place if we all played the same . There is only one ( expensive !) way to find out if they are for you . Good luck with your search .
