Labella 760FS string buzz

I'm getting excessive string buzz and weird intonation on the g-string of a new set, is this common did I get a bad string? I can't figure this out, action needs to be ridiculously high on g-string and does not completely solve the problem of buzzing, and then the intonation has to be set way back but then action needs to be dropped or it doesn't intonate properly, but always buzzing anyway from about 5th to 15th fret. Truss is good neck is straight... had 760fl set, GHS precisions, chromes, without a problem. String looks fine.

This is not the first time I've heard of this issue.

I'm waiting for a reply from bassstringsonline and Labella, but I'll ask Jason for advice.

You could've twisted the string on installation.

So I took the string off to inspect it, there is nothing visually wrong with it, but it's got about 20" of a flexible/floppy/less-rigid area, it's defiantly a defective string. Probably an issue with the strings core.

BTW Labella said they are sending out a new string, and Jason at bassstringsonline got back to me to help.
