LaBella Flats- odd "worble"

Sorry that I don't have any suggestions for your problem but i wanted to know how stiff are the 760FX's? I have a set on order and couldn't find any info on these. Thanks

This gauge feels very much like the TI flats that I have (.43-100) but smoother to the touch. Tension feels about the same as the TI's...just a touch tighter.

Hope this helps.

If you hand wrapped the string around the tuning peg whilst keeping pressure on the ball against the bridge, you could have induced a twist in the string. Simple check is to loosen the string until flaccid and then re-tighten using only the tuning key, no hand wrapping.

Yes but so do Chromes [I have a set that is over 14 years old] and jazz flats [I have a 13 year old set of those] which I've never had a problem with either, ever!

Cool! I did a studio recording a few months back with a borrowed '68 Fender P-bass that was strung with Chromes -- loved the tone! And those strings were OLD! (Don't know how old for sure but several years I know)
