Hi all

Looking for some advice. Id love to try a set of these strings on my precision deluxe. Can anyone tell me that apart from a truss adjustment do these strings fit in the nut ok?

Many thanks

Deaky

Mine fit on my bass just fine. LOVE THEM!! I pick really hard (fingers, not pick), so this is the first set of strings I've owned that really have the resistance I need to not smack the pick up poles too much. I played lighter gauge strings for almost 15 years before I switched and I wish I'd done it sooner.

All in all, great tone and playability. I've had mine on for about two years now and they just keep getting better and better. A tweak of the truss rod and you should be good to go.

I replaced the stock rounds on my Yamaha RBX170 with Labella DTF-M a few months ago. While tightening the E string during installation a piece of the plastic nut broke off from where the E string lays, on out to the edge. It would have played that way fine (the E string stayed put), but I had planned on getting a professional setup right away so my luther went ahead and replaced it with a new nut.

In hindsight, maybe I should have had the luther put the new flats on. It's likely that the new strings were larger in diameter than the rounds were and the nut's string space might have needed a wider filing to have prevented the nut from breaking in the first place. Flats in general, and especially the Labella's, are notorious for having higher tension.

I absolutely love the tone and feel of these strings.

Cool thanks guys.

I need to opt for the 5 string set even though its a 4 string im putting it on.
I gather this is just the same as the 4 string set but with an extra B?

The company that I order from only have the 5 string set available and it takes months before another delivery is made!
