Lake Placid Blue and Pickguards (Help me choose)

I have an incoming LPB Lakland BG with a Darkstar and I want to give it a pickguard face-lift. I have photoshopped 4 possible pickguard looks. It currently has the stock mint-white guard. Which would you choose?

Brown Tort

Gold Anodized

Cream Pearl

White Pearl

White pearl would definitely bring out the DEAD SEXY qualities of that bass.

I'm not usually a fan of black pearl, but that's not too bad...

For me the tort makes it look too dark, the gold too bright.

The white pearl works best I think, the cream is next best.

No surprise that the tort faction has had their say in the poll, though . . . I love tort on basses that have complementary finishes--but that blue and tort don't look good together at ALL.

Those are all good choices, although the gold is my least favorite. My Strat has Aged white/black/white which also works for something simple.

I put an abalone shell guard on my 97' USA P-Bass Special and it looks awesome. I think the same guard on yours would look even better than mine. I think there's a recent post of mine with a pic of it. Look in my profile and find the post "How do you like this"? It has a pic of the stock gold anodized guard and a pic of the new abalone guard. Imagine that color on your bass.

I'm a big fan of gold ano, have it on my P/J. That being said, white pearl and LPB are the perfect match.

For a long time, I have thought that BLACK Abalone would KILL on a LPB bass.

+1 on the White Pearl Camp. Thats what i have on my LPB Jazz.

the tort looks nice, but i dont think it work on that bass. Nice darkstar! Can i hear some sound clips?
