Lakland 55-02: any good solderless preamp options?

It's a 2022 55-02

I love the look and play of the bass, just not happy with the tones available in the stock pre.

I really like the John East UniPre 5 Knob I put in my Lakland 44-94. I too was not getting along with the stock pre. Much better now even though I rarely touch the EQ. I mainly use the passive tone control. Very good.

I recommend a dual-filter preamp, like the JTEX or Lusithand or Underhill units. Massive tone shaping options.
