LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #26

Not open for further replies.
I have'nt posted this in the classifieds here.
This may go against TB protocall but I have a Lakland US G&G case for sale. "Drop dead mint".
Anyone interested, shoot me a PM.
I think it's fine to post that since you're a supporting member, John. These are very nice cases, to anyone who hasn't had one!

Doug...I just came back from that steakhouse...King's cut Prime Rib baby!
I worked at a steakhouse long ago. I'm more of a filet or strip steak guy, but I wouldn't look sideways at that!

Yeah...8 minutes of dedication. I'm such a trooper:D

Oh yes...I am full of free time...NOT! Doug is the king on the wave.
You're still in the lead on posts, though.:D

I'd be asking about THIS one!

very nice, but not my style. i wouldnt pass on it if he wanted to give me a really, really sweet deal though.

looking at that pj(and im sorry to anyone who likes the looks) it looks mismatched to me,

pearl blocks on a maple neck, with sunburst and tort??i would have gone rosewood if i was gonna do pearl blocks, and ebony blocks with the maple neck and a black pickgaurd.

just IMO

Yeah, not the best match.

And, what's the story behind the piece of headstock from a 5er. It's laying in the bottom right of pic.

this makes sense to me. I would prefer rosewood with burst and tort, and pearl on rosewood. I would also prefer dots on such classical in appearance of a bass. But, I also realize the looks is not the crucial point with me. I've had three 94 series basses, never a deluxe. I am not very "happy" with what my basses look like, in fact, they are rather faded compared to what other guys have here; but I do think there is more in the sound and playability that counts. It is obvious and trite; but that's how it is. If I can, I get myself a Lakland, and luckily, it will be the right color combo. Otherwise, any Lakie counts.

My bass is going to be maple with pearl blocks, but I think the lighter color of the sonic blue will go nicely. I picked the specs on mine after seeing Family Man's SFG with maple and pearl. I just don't like SFG and I dig sonic blue.

that glaub doesn't quite hit me, but I might feel different in person

i think i worded that wrong, i love pearl blocks with maple necks.

just not with sunburst and tort.

ATTN: All Lakie Fans in the Southeast. Looking to schedule a SE GTG. Still working out the details (when, where). If you could shoot me an email or PM and let me know if you would be interested in coming and where you are located. I know time and location would be a factor in your committment to come, but at least let me know if you would be interested and we will see what happens. I will post this on the LOG forum as well.
