LAKLAND OWNERS GROUP #27

Alright, flipping out over here:(
My new-to-me Lakland is scheduled for delivery today, but tracking hasn't been updated since yesterday morning at 4:49am. It's showing that as the arrival time in Maumee(which is near Toledo,OH); I'm near Cleveland/Akron.
The bass I traded this one for has reached its new owner in Chicago already and they are were both scheduled for delivery today.
I love new bass days, but have really grown to hate the time prior to delivery:atoz:

Thanks for letting me vent:help:

I hear ya!! Love to see the brown or white truck pull up at the top of my driveway, but it takes FOREVER!

On the phone now. The correct address was written on the package, but it was delivered to a completely different address. She's got me on hold while she tries to contact the other address..... er, well-- she just spoke with an Amy in a Warehouse that it was supposedly shipped to. Amy is supposed to look for it and call this gal back in about 15 to 20 minutes and get back with me immediately.

"I'm cold"

What they should do it get the driver to turn around and pick it up. This happened to me before and that is what they did. Amy in a Warehouse...are we sure it isn't Amy Winehouse?:-)

I've tried, Sir, I really have, however, I may of rushed in too quickly. What is their best album in your opinion. My dad likes "All Mod Cons" or whatever it's called.
"All Mod Cons" is one of my favorites, but maybe it isn't the best one to listen to first. The next album, "Setting Sons", is more accessible (poppier), IMO. And the previous one "This Is the Modern World", is more punk-ish energy.

Ok. What the heck does this mean?

Delivered
Delivered On: 10/15/2009 11:09 A.M.
Signed By: OCAMS
Location: DOCK
:confused::confused::confused:
I sure didn't sign for it. You think they'll have someone drive it out in a seperate vehicle?:hmm:

If it said "Location: Doug", that would make sense. :D

I had this happen once at work where they delivered to some address that could not have had less in common with where it was supposed to go.

Sounds like they're on it.

Yeah, it does sound like they are on it.... I guess:scowl:
I just typed in the address and it's at a business called Soft Lite LLC. I looked on the map, and it's in a business park that I drive by about every day. So tempted to pull in sideways with guns ablazin':D:ninja:

LOL! I wouldn't blame you. Hang tight, though.

Well, I hope it works out...

They delivered a router to me at:
The wrong house number
On the wrong street
In the wrong city....

They did get County, State, and Country, hemisphere and planet correct - do I give them partial credit?

I'' keep my fingers crossed for you! Love my Lakland!

Dan K.

man that blows.UPS is sucking lately. i had to pay $107 to ship my glaub this morning, because my box hadbeen used before and i had the corner reinforced with tape.they charged me $30 for a new box and peanuts.even with out that it was $77 for shipping from CT to Florida.
i can see that price for cali or something but its rediculous what they charge now. Im using FEDX from now on. it make it not even worth selling if we have to pay those prices for shipping. RANT OVER!!

What are you getting anyway?

Yeah that's ridiculous. I took the bass I traded to UPS and had them package it, sent a 2 pound package along with it from Cleveland to Chicago and was charged $94..... and I thought THAT was bad:scowl:

I still haven't recieved a return call yet and just spoke with someone else who told me to "wait it out" until someone gets back with me. It's been 2 hours now waiting for a call-back that was supposed to be returned in "15 to 20 minutes" Frustrated, to say the least.

Sorry to get so off topic, but you guys are really the only fellows that can really relate to what i'm going through. It was sent to a glass window business so hopefully they won't be throwing it around:smug:

I'll let you know how it all plays out..... and hopefully be able to post some pics later today, although it sucks because I have to leave at 3:45pm for about 4 hours:bawl:

Personally...I'd go down to the address it was delivered too.

me too, i think you should call the place it was delivered to and tell them your coming to get it.

if you wait for ups to go back and pick it up, youll probably be waiting a day or 2.

I just took the opposite approach. I tried going there first, but couldn't find the damn place! My GPS was chirping "on left", but the address, nor the company name matched.
So I came home frustrated, angry, and dejected and found their phone #. Called and got a freakin' answering machine. I'll give it a few minutes before I call back.

This is my first bad experience with brown or anyone for that matter. Now, unfortunately, I have a story to tell.
As long as it ends happily, I will survive.:crying:
