I'm soon to be part of this awesome group! This beautiful DJ will be on it's way to me as soon as I ship off my sterling tomorrow, and I'm definitely looking forward to finally having a Lakland!

:ninja::ninja:

LOL...hey guys....I am back home for the weekend. Lots of travel.....I am out about the next 8 weeks, but it is all domestic so I will be able to be back on here regularly...it is not comfortable or easy to keep up with the LOG threads from a blackberry either, s I didn't...lol....and JJ was right, I am loving my 55's and as you can imagine I am NOT gas free by any means...I would still like to get a Chi'd 55.....and one I am looking for now is a 55-01D to hot rod. I know they are not common, but I will find one. Anyway....life is busy but good and it is good to be home.
Welcome back, Aaron! Enjoy your travels.

Hey fellow Laklanders. So last week on a different gig I took my camera to have someone offstage take photos of the band, but that unfortunately never happened. I did get the inkling however to place the camera in video mode on my music stand and roll tape. Thus, 'Basscam' was born. Anyway, we had a great gig last night with one of my groups (warning, banjo content) and I happened to be playing my 44-02 Deluxe. Thought I'd share the results! For those tech nerds, my amp is an Eden Nemesis NA320 with a Tech 21 VT Bass up front. I didn't plan it, but the two tunes I recorded were ones where I have short solos/features. Gotta decide fast whether or not to push that button when things get rolling! haha!

Brushfire @ Jack Of The Wood - 'Autumn Amble' 3/5/10
Very good stuff! Thanks for posting it.

ETA: I looked up where Jack of the Wood is, and now I'm missing Asheville and that area in general again. I have to get back for a visit.

OK Chicago guys...the week of the 22-26th I will be at the Marriott in Oakbrook, if anyone is interested in getting together. Next week I am flying into Dallas so maybe I can convince Terry to get together. I will post my travel schedule as appropriate and maybe I can meet some LOGGERS

Sssoooooo niiicceee....want to touch the hiney.....

Hahaha

Where've I heard the "hiney" line before ??

Any chance that you're coming through east TN again anytime soon?

So, I've finished recording the first disc with my main band and we've got a prelim mix down. We're all listening to it on our own stereod and taking mix notes so's we're not spending a bunch of billable hours doing it. Should mi mastered by the end of March or sometime in April.

I'm pretty impressed with the array of tones I got out of Amber. I had planned to use more than one bass throughout the process, but I only ended up using my A5 on one song.

There *was* one song I that made me wish I had a P-bass, though. I couldn't get Amber to do a really convincing P tone. I guess that makes sense, but you know...

I know my Amber has made me a believer in the 55's. Tone to die for! I look forward to hearing your final mix!

wow!!! congrats to the world traveler!!! I guess that makes some sense as to why we have not heard from him..

good luck catching up Aaron...sounds like the fretless is working out...cool!

Aaron just called me!!!! He's been in China and Japan for the last 3 weeks... no email or facebook, I guess no access to Talkbass either.

He said he's been promoted (in so many words) and has been flying all over the world, let's all wish him safe journeys 'til things slow down for him. I'm sure he's been missing his wife and kids.... maybe his basses a little too. He said he's a 55-02 man now, doesn't need anything but his two 55s :eyebrow:.

YEAH RIGHT!! That's what he says THIS week :D.
