a 4-hour gig
two 6-hour gigs
a 12-hour gig plus a 4-hour gig
a 4-hour gig
and tonight, a 4-hour gig.

Or if there's something up with my machine head. It's actually been a bit of an issue with my B for a while (way more than with the other strings), but it seems to be more pronounced right now...

Dudes, after this week, I'm due for a set up... and so's the bass ;)

Hmmm, I GUESS you could swap one of the other tuners with the one on your B and see if it continues.... I've not really encountered an issue with the B staying in tune. Could just be a string.

the white one....lol....in all honesty I think I prefer the asymmetrical one...but the truth is, either one is awesome. Here is my old 55-02 with the MM style as a reference.

Jut to be clear for me. I don't mine the asymmetrical one. I just what the pickguard to hit the neck in the same spot. I like where it hit on the asymmetrical one on the top side. More wrapped around the corner of the neck. I would just try to make that happen, and if the rest of the guard isn't totally symmetrical, then that's OK, because you will not be able to tell when the bass is sideways.

Well...you want it right....um...right?:D My fav would be having the guard come around the neck a little more so it is anchored visually, and not like an egg balancing on its pointy end.

Can't do it without altering the shape in a radical way. The deep lower horn cut gets in the way. If the guard wraps around the neck ala the EBMM SR guard, then the lower edge of the PG extends beyond the body roundover of the cutaway.

The only possible way would be to change the curve of the lower edge (sorta like Aaron's 55-02 PG), making it more straight than the top curve, but I prefer the curves to be the same, and don't want the E side taller than the G is deep.

MAN, whoda thunk cutting a pickguard could be so complicated!! :D

I'll be paying you for a mockup soon: a '51 Tele 5er that I'll need help w/ a colorscheme for. It's between Carl and another builder at this point... Carl's price is "do"able... and we know his work well ;). Waiting on the other builder's price quote.
