Trevor, I just had a chance to listen to this. Good work, man! That's a nice tune, too.
I'm just bummed they didn't refer to you as Mr. Doom.
Thanks. I've been gassing for a lakie since last november when I took a factory tour. I'm hoping I can learn to love the more modern tone. If not, I might see about trading it for a Duck Dunn or a JO5. I really like the idea of a MM J combo.
thanks guys. it's crazy--lot's of destruction. hollowbodys are all really ugly. even the solidbody laklands all have warped necks, brown stains from the river/sewage water soaking into them, and cracked bodys (not finish--the wood!!) from the wood swelling up. drying out now just to make them a little less gross, they're all a total loss...

So we had a rehearsal yesterday, and it was the first one since I adjusted some things: The 55--01/57 is now a P/J with the BigSplit in the back. I also put some Fodera Nickels on it. I'm also running a Zoom B9.1ut (12AU7) and a QBalls in the effects loop of a bridged Carvin BX1200 into one of the LoPhat 2-way 1x12's. I also had the JO5/55-60 CS with Lakland Stainlesses on it.
Holy Cow!
We're a trio (for now) doing original Jam-Band-esque type stuff, and both basses sounded perfect. Every clam and missed note I played could be heard so clearly and cleanly, with each bass imparting its own distinct character to it.
The P/J is the main player, and it is just so freakin' versatile with those 2 pickups in it with nickels. It sits sooooo well in the mix. These 2 basses are a very complementary pair, with the the Chi's growling away and the NP5 doing that P thing with a little J rolled in for snap. I highly recommend this mod...
We weren't all that loud, but the amp and cab seemed onto be moving so much air that I could feel it as much as hear it.
I can't wait to complete the trifecta with a flats wearin' LOG bass!
Sorry for a somewhat pointless post, but I felt I had to share...
Well..once the insurance does their thing, I would make some sort of wall piece out of the basses.
Totally!

I'm GASsing heavily for a 55-02... But I can't afford it right now. I'm doubting to sell my Fender Jazz V for one.
I got snowed on to-day.
There, now my post is more pointless than yours.
woah.....man.....that was like....HEAVY!

Well...for what it's worth...I'm a passive guy, but I do love my LH3 equipped bass. Playing it a ton lately.
I aim to please.
That being said, if it snows on us again to-morrow, I may punch a baby.
LOVE IT!
does it have the misspelling add in? what about the unofficial Doude dictionary???
I aim to please.

Right Gus, Ferg, and others in the west?Yeh....I like the LH3 as well.....even though I have more passive basses than LH3 equipped basses at the moment*
*Subject to change at the drop of a hat (as evidenced by the recent Double J impulse buy)
Great bass!!! You'll soon find that you won't want to trade it, that you'll just want to ADD a JO5 (or LOG BG5!!!!), lol.
