Some neck pocket/necks vary, but give it a shot. When I tried it...it worked perfectly, and was super simple.

I like the idea anyway, though in neck position, with 3 choices, I think I might go for J(closer to neck), P, J(further from neck) ... or even just J/P.

You could do something similar with a Nordy mm5.4, except the split there is BE/ADG. You could (I guess) turn it upside down.

On a similar theme, check the Link Removed. NOT a drop in replacement for anything. :)

We're talking about a radical set of mods on a 55-02/94 here ... could seriously devalue a 55-94 :hmm:

Yeah...I wouldn't do that to a US Lakland.

Yeah...same electronics...done in-house. I think the thing you will notice is the neck. Both very nice...but the US neck uses better woods, and feels better in my opinion. Whether that is worth the extra money...that's up to you. If possible, I would play both. They are going to sound about the same.

It looks like all the adjustments and electronics and such are still done in house for the skyline series, but is the quality of the wood, hardware, etc. cheaper then the US?
I'd love to buy the US series, but I just want to justify spending the extra cash.
Any help is appreciated, I'd really love to hear some sound samples of both models too, if anyone has some on hand.
