Ah...OK...you could find a used P bass, and then have the j pickup added with stacked knobs. Used market...about $800 and up.
Greetings from Scotland guys....work day is done, now having a VERY VERY nice Single Malt Scotch.....nice....oh yeah....I like Laklands (I had to keep it thread specific)

I've actually played it, its nice. If only I did'ne cislike Jazz tapered necks. At least on a P style bass. Old Skool Baby!!!!

I would say the barts are supportive in the low mids, thick and even, with the high end somewhat rounded and mellow
The LH3 are brighter and livelier with somewhat scooped mids
A/Bing the two, one may call the barts "classic" and LH-3 "modern".
Just to give you an example, to my perception the LH-3 emulate the J bass better and come closer to the MM sound whereas the barts are more impressive in the P bass sound.
This below that you might have seen is not comparing but rather a demonstration of the LH-3 made by fellow TBer Artiseasy:
