Here's the new 44 64; the neck is done like a 44 64 custom (minus the colored headstock) but is a P neck...perfect for me.

It's a family!

I've decided against a black guard on the 44-94, so if anyone wants a black Jeannie's guard cheap, let me know. It's modelled like the 55-69 guard.

I read that. I'm of the opinion that it's a non-issue. It's not rare for any given bass to spend a few years in the pipe between construction and showroom, let alone construction and owner's house.

Ok, thanks. I feel the same way now. After all, the bass is in perfect condition and plays outstanding.

Production year should have been disclosed, at least on the invoice, but as Roadkill mentioned, it really is a non-issue.

Thanks, I agree. I'm 100% happy. But was a bit caught off guard when I figured out the production year. But I am fine with it, and love the bass.

Well, the holes are there, simply removing the pickguard would be ugly.

You still use the screws so the holes are filled, I used to do that with my MM sterling when I wanted a different look. As long as. The screws are the same color as the hardware they look like they belong.

Seriously considering letting go of my drop dead gorgeous one off US Decade.
It is the only one in "Firemist Gold".
A custom color designed by Pat Wilkins and the original owner Ian Allison.
Single coil chi sonics/ passive.....
Just play my other Laklands a bit more and am thinking 4 USA Laklands for a non gigging kinda guy is a bit excessive. LOL
