Funny story....on my youngest's first trip to Disney we came in by its a small world.......we had to go on it 2x in a row at her request AND the second time we got stuck for what felt like an eternity....

When we got out it was like 10 AM BUT I Was already looking forward to a soothing martini

Originally i was going to order a 5507 just like the 5595 you are showing but it was out of my budget

A laminate top and refin were more in the budget

This one was the test mule (meant for r&d and not meant to be sold)

I asked Dan if he would sell it and he said yes
I then asked if he would swap out the neck for rosewood (i am not a huge maple fretboard guy).......and Dan just gave me "the look" and said....."this is what you get.....take it or not" (it was trans cream colored at the time)

I really liked the sound so i bought it

Actually the matching headstock makes the maple better for me

I dig it, great colour! What serial # is it? Should be very close to my ice blue 44-94, which has impressed me the last couple of days by looks and playability. Still not sure about Barts or LH3 though. BTW, thanks to all about the comments about my bass. I'm very happy the way it turned out.

Just got this one home from my local music store in my town.... wasn't planning on buying anything other than some strings, but came home with this. I got an unbeleivable deal. DON'T TELL MY WIFE!!!!!!!......and according to the UPS tracker I have another 55-01 coming today. I sold a Lakland DJ4 to a fellow TB'r to buy that one.....OHHHH Happy Day!!!! I think it's time to join the Lakland Club!!!!

Wow....go in to buy strings and come out with a 5501.....what a deal!

Major congrats with one in da house and one on the way.....
