The tort guard here looks fantastic. I think that the maple neck on the DJ5 is what is killing it for me.

Ben Kenney of Incubus has a short scale MO Lakie. He and Markus are often confused for each other, though.
Go with a white pearl guard, Larry Graham all the way. You know it's the right thing to do!
I think that the white pearl is likely the best choice.
Plus, if I go that route, I can legally make this face on stage.

I liked the Fat Beams on EBMM basses, had them on a bongo and sterling.
Not sure what they're going to be like on a Lakland, but then again, I like Cobalts on my Lakland P-bass, so what do I know? really?

I mean whatever was on the bongo BFR was on there when it came to me...felt pretty good the way it was so I left them on it...I know they were pretty much as new and not played.
