JJ - love the 2 color thumb rest!

How did you do that!?
Just cut and sanded a piece of wood, then painted half of it.

Awesome, Tyler, congrats. I think it's gorgeous, but I wouldn't expect a Ducks fan to appreciate simple elegance, lol.

I made that comment special for you Greg... I knew you would't be able to resist a jab at the Ducks. Notice that their uniforms don't even seem that wild anymore now that every team in college football has some crazy uniforms? I mean, did you see what the Miami Hurricanes played in vs FSU?

The canes have a long history of horrible uniform choices (and horrible losses to with those uniforms). Cotton Bowl Camo ring a bell? Turns out tradition bit them again...no tears here.

That transparent white is sweet! Don't change it

Haha! Damn, you got me dude. It's funny, I didn't see the Canes/FSU game, but a buddy of mine (who actually likes some of the Ducks' uniforms) said the Canes looked like space clowns.:D I realize I care about this more than a reasonable person should, lol. Guess I'm just a traditionalist when it comes to team uniforms.

Its funny that you mention it because almost every single person I know that is my age or younger that either went to Oregon, or has been a long time fan wishes they would go back to the old school green and yellow uniforms. I was there for Homecoming / Alumni game against Washington where they wore the '94 throwbacks and people were going nuts.

Personally, as a grad and someone who has been a Ducks fan since birth (dad and grandpa are both alums too), I don't really care about the uniforms, I just wish they would wear green and yellow more often.

Back on topic, I played the new JO for a bit this weekend and really dig it. The Ash / Maple combo gives it a unique character and aggressiveness that the other JOs I have played just didn't have. I have half a mind to drop a preamp in it and see if I can get some real zing out of it. Then again, I am still looking for that 4-94 to round out the collection...

Crickets!!!!

In order to get things moving again, here is a track from last week's service....played on my US 55-64 PJ with Nordy pickups and Marcus Miller strings....use a bit of the very low C at the beginning and the Low D (after the key change) near the end of the song....the recording is "just OK" and the playing is mediocre (hey - its me :) )....enjoy anyways:

peace:
