Out of curiosity, what kind of strings are you guys using on your Lakies?

I use Labella DTF; the low tension ones on my 44-01 and 44-02. Use regular Labella DTF on my modified 55-01.

Fodera strings! I love them. The feel. The tension. I had been using stainless steel, but I just recently tried their Nickel strings which were great as well.

I prefer Kalium Strings for rounds, otherwise I use D'addario Chrome Flats

DR Long Necks. The two times I've taken my bass to get set up by Carl Pedigo, he's commented on how it's like those strings were made for Lakland thru body stringing. They sound good too.

For a very long time I have used DR Sunbeams 45-130. Recently I've been using DR Nickel Low-Riders 45-130. Both work for me.

I've been using NYXLs, but I may try the D'Adarrio Flex Steels next.

I have Sadowsky mediums on my 55-94 and the D'Addario 165 mediums on my 44-64, which have Sadowsky-like tensions (45-105). Love the Sadowsky's, like the D'Addario's. May try something else later.

hey all...i'm curious if the owner of this bass is around? or maybe someone else can answer my question. I'm probably going to get some knobs like this for my bass. Like the ones that are on the volume and pickup pan. i just want to know if they stay on very well and work well with the push/pull master volume knob.

I've had the super long standard D'Addario nickels on my DJ 5 but I think I'm going to switch up to the Pro Steels at the next string change.

Why? Is there buzzing above the 5th fret? Is it cracked or broken?

I switched 2 skyline nuts out for bone the only difference i noticed was a $100 reduction in my bank account.
