Ok after several years without a Lakland, I’m back in the fold. Just scored this well traveled sweetheart from the TB Classifieds. So my big question is…. How many of you guys have owned this lovely over the past 20 years?

Congrats! The only reason I didn’t buy that one was that I already own two other 55-JJs. I have no experience with the Sadowsky pre. How is it?

Hey 44-02/44-94/55-02 users. I am still getting used to the active controls on my 44-94. If I wanted to get a tone similar to turning down the tone knob on a passive bass, like my DJ-4 or a P bass, how would I do that on a 44-94? Would I turn down the treble? Turn down the mid? Boost the bass? All of those, or some combination? Thanks.
Turn down high at about 25%, mids a bit higher than highs and boost bass a bit
