Lakland vs Sadowsky

At the end of the day, that is ALL that matters.

I will say this though, the sadowsky pre sounds great with my l-2500. I've never quite bounded with that bass (altough I love my l-1000 5 strings). It might just be that i didn't like it with my Fencer Am Pro Jazz V II, which has some Nordstrand Pickups in it that have a pretty distinct sound.

I used to have a DJ 5 that I loved but the neck developed an issue and I ended up letting it go. Loved that bass other than the weight. I’ve gone through a few basses since then and most recently acquired a Sadowsky Metro Express 5. I dropped in the VTC Sadowsky preamp and the bass does sound great but something is just missing for me. The neck shape and 18 mm spacing isn’t quite what I’m looking for. I just ordered a 55-02 and should have it by the end of the week. For 5 strings I’m just a fan of the 35” scale too. Looking forward to getting back on the Lakland train.
