Lakland vs Sadowsky

I have owned both and prefer Lakland necks - they are just more comfortable to me. But I also loved the pre in the NYC Sadowsky I owned so I put a Sadowsky pre in my US Lakland 4-63 - best of both worlds, IMHO of course ;)
 
I've never played either brand of these basses and have no axe to grind. However, if I was interested in a better than Fender bass, I'd buy a Sadowsky in a millisecond.

There is a well known band here in Nashville called the Nashville Jazz Orchestra. They have various rosters of musicians who play based on who's available. Anyway - one of their bassists plays a Sadowsky, and when he does, the band sounds its best.

I heard someone else playing one of Roger's basses at NAMM and it sounded superb. You should buy a Sadowsky because of its sound and flexibility
