thanks! i assume it can also be used without the angle and just as a straight endpin?

Yes, angled or staight, but it usually requires two different endpins because of the length. Mario can talk you through it. I've had mine for a couple of years and I'm very pleased with it. It's very well engineered, very durable, very flexible to accommodate any angle and any rotation and then stay put. Mario's great to work with and provides excellent customer service. Fortunately, there are a few other excellent options available so we have lots of good choices. If you decide on the Lammax, I'd be very surprised if you were disappointed.
