Lane Poor Music Man Humbucker

Does anyone here have a Lane Poor Music Man humbucker .. This is the one used on the modulus flea bass, or the aftermark one.. The part numbers were MM4HB and MM4HBSC for the 4 conductor one.

Im trying to reproduce this pickup and need to get my hands on one to see.

I posted an add in the Wanted section but I doubt many people read that. If anyone wants to sell one please let me know via PM or at [email protected]. Im willing to pay *very* good money for one, and a free set of my pickups when they are done.

If you have one and dont want to part with it, can you tell me about them.. what you feel thier strengths and weaknesses are?

I've got a 5-string MusicMan humbucking pickup (model MM5HB) installed in a fretless Carvin bass, in the bridge position. It sounds very responsive, punchy, and clean. It has good fundamentals but they don't overpower the mids, which sound very nice.

It is not one of the louder passive pickups out there - LP pickups are known for having a low output - but if you have a nice onboard pre-amp it should not be a problem.
