Laney Amp Problem

I've got a Laney RB8 Combo Amplifier. There seems to be an issue with it where it sounds like there is a limiter and distortion pedal on it. That is there is no sustain and volume is suppressed. Could be a loose connection or something more serious. Just wondered if anyone has a similar experience?

It happened in a gig the other night but we play low (as an acoustic trio) so I was able to turn it up and play a bit harder.

Does the unit have an effects loop? If it does try linking Send and Return with a signal cable to see if it helps.

At one time I lived in your area. Penarth and then Caerphilly. Dinas Powis was my favourite. There was a little bakery there that had pastries to die for.

I don't have a signal cable unfortunately. I reckon I'll have to take it somewhere to be looked at.

Dinas Powys is a nice place, so is Penarth. I'll not mention Caerphilly.

What’s wrong with Caerphilly? Did the Green Lady scare ya?

Thanks for the correct spelling of PowYs. We left that area in 1973 to come to Toronto so my memory gets things wrong!

BTW a signal cable is a guitar cable. I would have thought that you would have a couple.
