Takamine TB10 and Emerald's new bass. Both are semi hollow and both are huge.
I just got the Tak. It is fretless and has an upright feel. Emerald, which I plan on getting sometime in the future sounds really good too.
Tak's only problems are that it has no marks on the fretboard. I am getting dots on it right as I type. The case is stupidly heavy and cumbersome. But it's unavoidable due to the nature of the semi hollow bass.

no but seriously i think Gibson is the way to go for you. T bird, ripper, grabber, rd, etc. i'm 6'4" and 250 but i'd rock a mustang any chance i could get

Godin A5 - hollow body, 34" scale, 48" long. Too big for most gig bags - comes with a decent one, but good luck finding a dual base soft case that will fit (if anyone has, please let me know!)
Have you tried the Gator Pro Go?
My old Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV is two inches longer than the standard ones (48 and 1/2" I think) but it fits when tha extra bottom pad is removed...you can see it under the gig bag.
Gator's site lists the double gig bag as 47" interior from top to bottom but I think that's with the 2" bottom bumper.
I can measure it for you tomorrow when I get home.

I'm 6'5" and don't care if a bass looks small on me (borrowed a friend's Kala U-bass for a while), however I do understand the importance of feeling "proper"/"comfortable"/"natural" or whatever you want to call it on stage... only then can we give our best performance.
The Maranello Z is a fantastic looking/sounding bass IMO.
Here's another to consider:
Hofner has just introduced a Invalid Link Removed (*which nowadays they call it the Verythin, can't remember "y", but don't care "i"-there):
Also consider colours, 'cause if you always wear black on stage and have a dark coloured instrument, that could make it look small. Conversely if you're a big person and wear white with a black bass, that too could make the bass look small. I'm guessing dark sartorial splendour with a bright light-coloured bass will make the bass seem larger than it is. Trompe L 'Oeil, Fool The World!

The Maranello Z is a fantastic looking/sounding bass IMO.

I've never owned a Ripper but have a Grabber and it's pretty thin and the body is pretty large.
You just reminded me, one of my brother-in-laws is a big guy, 250+, and he used to play a Steinberger. Oh my lord!play a mustang bass it'll be super funny.

lots of you mentioned Gibson grabbers and rippers. i used to have a grabber copy but sold it for tonal reasons and i loved the size of it... maybe i should start saving up for a ripper
Ralphe Armstrong used to play Gibson Rippers and RD's back in his Jean Luc Ponty daze. I think Ralphe is even larger now than he was back then! At the bottom he's got an upright 5er.
