Larry Johnson?

Anyone know much about him?

He played on Betty Davis' second two albums – "They Say I'm Different" and "Nasty Gal"... and then seemingly disappeared?

His playing on those is some of the funkiest, groove-ridden lines I can think of; I dig them way more than Larry Graham's playing on Betty's first album

It would be a shame if that's all we have of him...
