Last night's gig-- a post for Basscliff

what a great scene for a 4th of july gig! sounds like everyone had fun --- and that you had fun not traveling and not carrying a bunch of gear! i don't need food pics knowing what was being served up...sounds really tasty. thanks for sharing your gig experience!

Hi Will,

Have you seen some of @BassCliff 's audiences? They're huuuuge! :)

And sometimes there's a lot of people! :p

But not all the time. I don't play arenas or stadiums. I don't play harbors much either. ;) I like a good dive bar once in a while but not too often. :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Sorry @LuckyScott -- there was fresh Alaskan halibut fish and chips, burgers and hot dogs provided by the local merchants. I'll take pics of the food next time... :bag:
Mmmm halibut. So good. Happy 4th of July. Curious as to what time your fireworks show starts. You're further north than I am and there's still a tinge of light at 11:00. Thanks for sharing.

I spent a summer working in Skagway, AK. The restaurant in the building where I worked had All You Can Eat Fish and Chips one night. The fish was halibut or salmon on a stick. Sooooo good!

Last night I played in two bands for the 4th of July. It wasn't a big showing, only a couple hundred people, but it sure was fun.

Commuting to the gig took 5 minutes in my Impreza. The sound and lights were provided and all I needed to bring was my bass. So, @BassCliff here's my 3 minute commute to the gig!

Great gig report Will!

Big crowd or small as long as you bring your A game, it's a good gig!

Hi Will,

Thanks for the great gig report! Your gig was what it's all about, brother. My thoughts:

Sometimes I wish I was still a college kid with high energy.

Where did you say those subs were?

You've got to be tough to live in Alaska!
Thanks for the compliments. And I too wish I were back in college with what I know now LOL. I believe the subs were under the decorations at the front of the truck bed. I'm not exactly sure of the location but I sure felt them in my feet!
