C4 owners :
How is the latency on the SA c4 on octave down mode ?
( I got the ehx micropog and find the latency too much for my taste )
Would you recommend the c4 for just octave sounds ?
i would recommend the C4 for octaves (and lots of other sounds, too). the tracking is top-notch, possibly the best --- caveat: no pedal does a perfect job all of the time, IME/IMO, and most any pedal's tracking abilities are also a function of 'technique'....e.g., the cleaner the better.
IMO, the C4 is a good choice (for a 4-string) because it tracks every note, e.g., it doesn't 'stop tracking' or peter out at A like many pedals.
i'm not a C4 expert, just a user/fan, and i'm sure you'll get some great advice from long-time users of the C4 and other great pedals that might be useful to you!
