She actually uses both!
I saw Khruangbin' s second show in Amsterdam and this time the Fender was played.
It is recognizable on these pictures by the headstock and the F on the pickup cover.

I am a bit puzzled because I thought she only uses the same set of old flat strings.
These can be switched from one bass to another of course but this is not convenient.
Maybe there was an issue with the Fender yesterday?
While I am at it, does someone know which keyboard she plays? It can be heard on the track here under.
She's got a Yamaha Reface CP as a present. Could this be it?

The “same old set of strings” would pertain to the SX, but as for the Fender, who knows what that may have on it. She had a Fender VI replica(old school 6 string bass)custom built for her, seen in a video with Leon Bridges; that would have to have an entirely different set of strings on it.
I read (somewhere, cannot find my source unfortunately) that she kept her old strings on the Fender.
I hope there will be a Khruangbin's rig rundown soon to clear this up!

Did you take your own pillow to the gig, or did they issue you one when you got there?
Are those tuners, or are they fat)fingers? From the pics it looks like they could be either.
You bring the pillow you placed under your romantic partner the night before, after having having put the band’s music on to enhance the mood.
The show lasted 2 hours. First hour was their last album and it was boring indeed. The second hour was better with more dansable basslines.
I'm a huge fan but to be honest I was kinda disappointed. No interaction with the audience except for a "hello Amsterdam " which came late.
The sounded good and played a lot of songs but there was no magic.
I saw 2 shows and they were identical except for Laura Lee's bass and outfit.
Maybe they got too big. I'd rather see them in smaller, less impersonal venues.
It's all personal, but for me this music is more about atmosphere. And doing 2 hour live show of this stuff is definitely exhausting. And I really like this kind of music. But one hour is enough. Maybe in some cozy club, with some interesting visualisation it could work for 2 hours, but not just typical show stretched in two hours. Or find something really new in their sound.
And about more "dansable". I posted it in another topic. But when they trying to sell more uptempo stuff feels awkward for me. Especially when they just play their tunes uptempo. But, again, it's a personal experience.
