Le Bass users - HELP please

Le Bass is my main preamp for my live rig. I use in-ear monitors and no amp. I recently integrated the Le Bass preamp prior to Covid shutting the world down in March. I marked all my settings on the preamp and then she was stored as gigs were no available and my guitar player fought the battle of his life with cancer. Anyhow - first gig back was this past Saturday. I used the DI out of Le Bass, and none of my tone controls adjusted the sound. Even turned the gain and volume of both channels to zero, and still had live sound to the board. OK, so this is clearly just a DI box at this point. Ended up just going with it and playing the gig. I'm now trying to figure out how I was able to get the tone controls into my send for the board. I've looked through the manual and I can't find anything. Am I crazy? Did I mark all my settings with no adjustments 6 months ago before the great shutdown? My question to all Le Bass users is - how do you get the tone controls to be active in the DI signal???

Before everybody jumps in and tells me that FOH needs a direct signal, I know. I use 2 sends to FOH, one from the LE BASS with my tone set the way I like it and a second direct signal from an Avalon U5 so the engineer is happy....

Somebody tell me I'm not crazy and you can get the tone controls to be active in the DI signal (like a normal pre/post switch would do on most preamps)
