I like it, but I think you would be more successful as a three piece - add a guitar or synth. Your strength is definitely your voice, with some chordal support I think that could be showcased better. That's just an opinion, if what you're doing works for you, rock it.

Cool! I'm a student bedroom bassist with no bands or gigmates, just me and my many Roland Cube practice drum tracks. Since I've been playing bass for only about 15 months and know only scales, melody lead solo shred bass is all I can play. It's hardly even music but it is mondo therapeutic; though nobody pays to hear me play bass-they usually run away.
I'll never join a band but I am a legend in my own room/mind. This is inspirational for us introvert loners, little more practice and I'll look for a similar bedroom drummer and start touring!

when I think of lead bass I think of Chris Squire..or the bass work done in Jethro Tull..the video you present has a tiny bit of lead bass..but thats about it..its more of "fill playing" than anything else..that is compensatimg for the lack of other instruments in the mix..and lead bass needs to be louder in the mix if it is truly lead..drums were too loud in that mix for what it was..I watched the video a second time with the audio off..I noticed that many of the bass parts were played in the same neck area of the instrument..there was a part of the song where the bass player moved down the neck..played some in that part of the neck..then moved back up to the area where the song started..lead bass tells a story..moves all over the neck..and changes tempo taking you from one passage to another..or..from one part of the story or message to another..lead bass can still be played even if there are more instruments in the mix..actually..its easier with more instruments because you can move within and around the parts..I dont think of lead bass as being a high and a low part as some people have referred to as bi-amping..to me..its a musical movement thats pulling emotion and creating a visual thought..or a story..the changes are taking you down a path..and leading you to another place..or idea..take a listen again to Yes on "close to the edge"..or their album "fly from here"..then try Jethro Tull's "aqualung" and "thick as a brick"..again..all instruments are present..but lead bass is a big part of the stories being told..

Drummer and bassist duos rock! My first "band" when I was in high school was a drum and bass duo. My favorite drum and bass duo is Bangladeafy! Ribboncutter, by BANGLADEAFY (My favorite song by them is "Carsick" on the "This is Your Brain on Bugs" album.)

What's crazy is that their bassist is deaf, yet is ridiculously good. My old punk band once played a show with Bangladeafy! several years ago and they absolutely blew my mind and melted my face.

Thank you! In the future we will have "guest" spots for some of our friends. We have released music as a full band on Spotify if you want to check it out. We'll be leaving that music up until we finish recording some stuff as a two piece ;) The two piece thing just seems to be way better for us:)
