LeCompte Custom Fretless ORDERED!

Here are a few new pictures of the neck and headstock. Bud Is going to have a booth at the NAMM Show in Nashville. He is plannig to bring about 6 Basses to display.

Some of them are his own and a few belong to customers. This could be a great launching pad for Bud to get some more exposure.

It seems to me that many Music store retailers who had been powerhouses in the past are really beginning to struggle against internet distribution. I know of one here in CT who could no longer meet the inventory requirements of Fender, Gibson, and PRS and have lost thier dealerships with them as a result. Hopefully this will make new oportunities for smaller builders like LeCompte to move up and into national distribution. Heaven knows that we don't need another no-name China Fender Knock-off.

:) ... Hope to see you there

Body shape gives me a stiffy, I'm new school I guess. :D

I have old school basses and they have their place but I really like The Lecompte SSTS design. There really isnt anything else that looks like it and I wanted something unique and different. I would not know of Bud without TalkBass and the Lecomptes that I have seen here.

I can't discuss price but for the amount of custom features I asked for on this build, and they quality of Buds craftsmanship, This is a fantastic Value.

Hopefully somebody will Buy my Warwick Infinity Fretless to make room for this Bass.

I Can understand why you like the Black hardware with the spalt. On this bass I wanted all the materials to be in their natural color. When it is done there will be a nice relationship between the Mother of Pearl fingerboard dots, the poles on the pups and the bridge. I didn't want any plastic or artificial looking parts on this bass. If I had black pick ups I would have gone with a black bridge.

That PJ looks great with the black hardware.
