Lefty Fretless Market?

Hellooooooo bass doodz! I'm currently going through a bass-dilemma that I have not yet seen on the forums. I'm hoping that if there's already a thread pertaining to this, that I might be directed to it.

I am left-handed. I have a Schecter Omen Extreme 5 with long-scale Rotosound flatwounds on it, and it sounds pretty awesome. Speaking purely from an electronics standpoint, I feel the tone controls leave something to be desired, but overall I can get some pretty nice sounds out of it.

AND, I've wanted to try fretless (either 4 or 5-string, preferably 5) for quite a while now. So naturally, I would go for the Schecter Stiletto Studio Fretless 4 or 5. But in the interest of keeping all my options open, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me some other brands that offer fretless instruments for lefties.

So basically, what's the market for lefty fretless basses?

I would normally tack on a bit about "not breaking the bank" but I'm gonna forgo that, because I literally want to know about ALL my options. Thanks for reading.

Trying one before buying would be difficult. Short of bass specialty stores, few music shops stock fretless at all, and as you know from experience at best one dusty old cheap lefty four string.

I'm not a lefty myself, but knowing a lefty bassist I have been drawn into his hunt for good lefty basses. He ended up ordering a Carvin fretless many years ago and has been happy with it. No extra charge for lefties, unlike most companies.

For cheapies, you could look at Rondo. They usually have something. Adirondack guitar has a lot of lefties on their web site, never dealt with them but the prices look good. Might have some fretlesses.

I am a lefty and have owned a couple of Carvin fretless basses. I believe every model of bass that they offer can be made fretless and left-handed for no extra charge. Plenty of threads about these basses if you want to look around.

I believe - but am far from certain - that basses that utilize 'Zero Fret' retain that, even in the "fretless" configurations. So perhaps something like a Steinberger Synapse could be an option. These have the advantage of being "mostly" symmetrical and could be strung or played either way. (I don't think there are mounts for the kickstand on but the one side...)

Fender, Musicman, Carvin and G&L are all companies that have lefty models in the moderately priced range. You could also buy a Fender, Allparts, or Warmoth lefty body and get a Warmoth, Allparts, Status, etc. neck.
