I am lefty and play bass righty. I originally played drums and play those righty as well. Everything else lefty, golf, throwing a ball, etc.

Me! I do... Born Leftie, do most everything left handed except for playing bass... Ironically, when I took classical guitar, my teacher was a leftie, who wouldn't let me use his left handed guitar - so I learned to play right handed!

I'm cross dominant. I can write with both hands, and except for shaving and throwing I'm left handed. I consider myself largely left handed, but i play right handed. I prefer the idea of palyign a lefty in a right handed way,t hough. Any tips you can give me?

I'm lefty and play righty... it's the only thing I do righty. When I bought my first bass, the left handed ones were too hard to find and expensive at the time.

I eat and write right handed but played ball, shot weapons and did everything else left handed. I learned guitar and bass right handed but can't drum on a right handed drum set. Do I count?

Count me in also. Learned to play right handed. I still "air bass" left handed though. Tried to play a bass left handed, and it just didn't work.

I'm in. I play right handed due to Cerebral Paulsy. Right hand can't fret notes but does good plucking notes. Everything else though is Left Handed.

Left handed:
write
eat
scissors
anything involving precision.

Right:
bass
sports
shaving
strength stuff

I actually suspect playing cello at 9 y/o shoehorned me into the righty playing style... Classical instruments are rare/ nonexistent in lefty configurations.

I'm mainly left handed when it comes to things. I choose to play right handed because it was standard and playing left handed seemed to have too many difficulties i.e limited ammount of basses.

OK--now I wanna hear from ONE true ambidextrous bass player. Michael Anthony of Van Halen once hinted in an interview that he could play left hand bass, but he might have been b.s.ing. I've never seen or heard such a player.
