The fact that the guy posting the ad is willing to trade an alleged 74 P bass for a used Dano bass worth less than $300 might also be considered a tip-off even without photos.

That headstock looks like it's from one of those cheap made in china necks you can get on ebay for $50. 70's headstocks looked nothing like that. Here's from a real '74.

Yes ,but in negative, as the MIM logos are the same shaped letters, but in silver with black outline.

I'll bet you five bucks to a pig turd that is an '80's Squier Korean neck. It originally had the small tuners on it that were scooted up closer to the edge of the headstock than the full-sized-tuner counterparts. Someone hogged the holes out and installed bigger tuners. BTDT, but gee, I never thought to try and pass one off as a USA Fender...... LOL!

A '74 would be a top load bridge. MIA Fenders weren't string thru at this point but I agree with everything else.
