Legit Fender Bass?

Hey Guys,

I saw this locally on CL and it looks kinda fishy to me. Has what seems to be a legit MIM serial number, but I also see Squier on the head as well....also....looks like it might have been a fretted that got the frets pulled?

Gimme your thoughts if you don't mind....I know there are guys here that are experts at this kind of stuff....
