Length of exposed core on SIT strings?

Anyone know how long the exposed cores are on the SIT Exposed Core Nickel Light (45 - 125) strings?

They are for a Fender MIM Player Plus Jazz, which has a high-mass bridge, where the distance from the saddle to the ball-end is longer than on the traditional Fender bent bridge. I'm using Elixir nanoweb taperwounds at the moment, but the taper (at about 3 cm) isn't quite long enough. I need about 4cm of taper/exposed core, and I'd like to try some nickel coated strings.

According to the info I obtained from Jason at Fret Nation, they should be 2"-2.25" (5-5.5 cm). As far as I know, the tapered end on Elixirs is shorter than most at 1.75".

If you have any further questions regarding SIT strings, you can contact Jason directly at [email protected].

Thanks a lot Michael. I'm kind of new to taperwounds and exposed core strings, my only other experience besides the Elixirs being GHS Contact Core Super Steels, which I have settled on for my Yamaha BB 1025x. But I wanted to go for something a bit warmer on the Jazz, hence my interest in the SIT 0.125 exposed core nickels. Will definitely order a set now that I know the exposed core is nice and long.
