Dudes:
I have Chauvet 4Bar Flex (same light heads as 4Bar) units for stage lighting, but I'm not entirely happy with how the light looks (happy with everything else about them!). This was glaringly obvious when we shot some video. I think a big part of it is the "dozens of point sources" phenomenon, which creates weird shadows. Does anyone know of a lens or filter solution that will address this? Either a diffuser that won't seriously dim or wash out the lights, or a fresnel-type lens that focuses the light into a "single source"? Your experienced thoughts welcome.
