Les Claypool/Carl Thompson tone with

thanks for all of your help everyone...ive had a revelation-i was about to build a walnut jazz bass with an emg 35 in it with a tremolo when i started to feel sick to my stomach about it.....i started thinking and i realized i dont want to sound like a half assed rip off of les claypool or anyone else. WHATS THE GOAL? TO SOUND LIKE LES CLAYPOOL BUT NOT AS GOOD? how sad. thats not what les or flea or geddy lee did...so im just going to create my own sound and tone (with influences of course) but im not going to copy anyone...
