Les Claypool Pachyderm inspired builds

Not exactly like Les’ rainbow. Had to deviate a bit. This one is still on the thin side.
Pachyderm style. Black limba top, padauk core, Peruvian walnut back. Wenge neck padauk fretboard.
Had some major tear out when it slipped while routing. Luckily, it was salvageable.

Very nice, and I feel you on that tearout. Many of us have been there; I find it infuriating. 
@Gilmourisgod is now using a 'robosander' exclusively and I usually only climb cut over end grain transitions. Nice save though, looking great.

Yeah. That was almost a disaster. Glad I was able to recover. I’ll have to look into the robosander. Thanks for checking it outVery nice, and I feel you on that tearout. Many of us have been there; I find it infuriating.

I also have a pachyderm style rainbow bass in the works. Maybe 34 or 36 inch scale. Haven’t decided yet.
After a long break from building, I kind of went nuts with all these builds going at once.
