Less shrill replacement for Foster(x) tweeter??

Many of those Foster equipped cabs had the LF drivers running full range, with just a HP filter on the horns, so it would be worth checking out your particular cabinet's crossover to see what it does.
That's true. I could never figure out why Avatar uses a two-way crossover rather than a simpler, lighter, cheaper high pass filter for the tweeter alone. It's only 12 dB per octave and probably starts at a fairly high point, maybe 3.5 KHz, where the woofer has run out of gas but I'd still want the woofer running full range if there's no tweeter.
