You forgot to include the Schaller 463.

While I don’t currently have this on a bass it’s one of my favorites. Some extra mass but not too heavy. Easily adjust saddles to where you want them in 3 different axis. Nice built in radius to the shape of the bridge. Decent sustain and slightly less sympathetic ring across strings than on other high mass bridges.

In my opinion the regular simple bent steel plate bridge sounds best.
In my experience the tone loses definition, articulation and richness/complexity with high mass bridges.
However if a somewhat fatter, but duller, tone, perhaps with marginally more sustain, is your thing, then I suppose a high mass bridge would be the right choice.

I've had most, I really like the KTS titanium plate, with the Tusq saddles. I'm always looking to keep things relatively light. If weight is of no concern, Type A is fine and the Gotoh 201 is plenty fine. To me it's never that much of a difference to really care but the weight can shave off a decent bit (55g vs 260g). That close to 1/2 pound does come in handy on heftier builds such as Warmoth builds.
