travishatcher, I gave you a like and PMd you. But you seem to feel this is a one-for-one exchange and thus you were "unable" to like all three of my links. I don't think that's the spirit in which this thread was created. So far I've given likes to everyone in this thread, whether they return them or not.

I suggest you start participating as kikstand54 and VeganThump recommended.

Yes it's true, I do a one-for-one. To me that just makes sense. Like my page and I'll happily like one of yours in return (which I did when I got your message) I got one like, you got one. Even if they were separate pages liking all three would have been a net gain of 3 in your end.

1 doesn't equal 3.

If I asked folks to pop in and like two of my pages, I would like 2 in return.

For the other folks: I haven't received any other messages to reciprocate on you pages.

So, is the spirit of this thread "I'll like one of your pages and here's a list if mine to like"?

If so, I genuinely missed the footnote that dictated the support offered in this thread wasn't based on equal reciprocity.

That's also why I asked folks to inbox me their pages after they liked
Mine. The idea as I understand it was to help each other out instead of just posting a link and making no effort I participate in a "like-ladder" thread.

The problem with this thread is it has become too epic.
originally...the first 60+ or so bands all " liked" everyone and with the second wave of posts, EVERYONE got 100+ bump in likes.

Since then its lost its honor due to laziness and selfish attitudes. A vast majority of the original 60 or so bands have vacated the thread.....so when new people come and like 100 bands and only get 20 likes- its admittedly off putting. It started whenever turoc entered the thread ( he is not responsible in anyway...I'm just noticing a timeline) and has continued.

Possible solutions:
1. Suck it up. How long does it take to like a band? I'm doing it on my phone and its as simple as link-like- back. Three damn seconds. Jeeze. Doing something good doesn't always mean you are fully reciprocated in kind- that's what's wrong with our society....but that's a different thread....

2. Have a "start over" or a " punting" point where everyone likes from a NEW point on.....so the 30 or so ACTIVE posters all like each other equally.

3. Start a new thread as a part 2 and let the gorging begin. My band got well over 100 likes from this thread and I get 2 or more a week still. It works if everyone does their part and doesn't cry like a little puss. Refer to number 1.

And 4. If its not working for you.....don't do it and get off the thread. Travishatcher- the original goal of the thread ( as expressed in the title) is lets ALL help each other out. Not "ill help if you go through 5 extra steps to help me. " if you wanted the best ROI you could've just liked the last 10 people who posted up and not said anything about your demands of reciprocation.


So what avenue are we choosing gents/ladies? Because I'm super happy to continue to check out and like all of your bands ( I have done every single one) ..... but I'm tired of the whining. We need a solution.
