Let's see those blue basses!

Let's blow the dust off this thread! 😷 My newest acquisition, in all it's Lake Placid Blue glory!

Looks like there are two threads on Blue Basses running concurrently, so I'll post these in both and maybe Admin can merge the two threads(?).

On the right is my +/- 1996 Stuart Spector Designs NS-95: One of the best 5 String necks I've ever played. Not too chunky around the back, not too wide a string spacing and not a drastic taper from the Nut to the 24th Fret. Feels very even to my smallish hand: If anyone knows of other 5 Strings with necks like this, please mention them!

About 2 years ago, its original EMG-HZs & Preamp were replaced with two EMG P40s & an LHZ-03 Preamp, plus some light-gauge DR Hi-Beams, which made it really come alive and the tone now matches my red Spector NS2-A.

On the left is a recent Fender Player Precision in Ocean Turquoise: Turquoise is a mix of Blue & Green, this shade hits my eyes as Blue, and a lot of our cameras tend to catch these as Blue, so THERE...it belongs here.

I changed the stock bridge & knobs to a Hipshot & KILO JD Series (Sadowsky style), and put on some TI Jazz Flats: It does exactly what I want a P-Bass with Flats to do.

Some cream-colored pickup covers would really set off the look: If anyone has a set that will fit through the stock pickguard without modding, I'll take 'em!
