lets see your basses with COLORED STRINGS

My Lakland Hollowbody - the original owner put these on the bass. They play nicely and really set off the hardware, IMO.

what brands make coloured strings?
are they any good?
do they last?
does the colouring affect sound?
what kind of strings are they?(flatwound, nickel etc)

DR has several colors as previously mentioned.
Both Fender and LaBella make black tapewound (flats w/ a nylon wrap).
I've used the LaBella's (bought through Carvin web site) for use on a Carvin fretless. Made a world of difference in tone and are really slick feeling. Super quiet ,as in , no finger squeak.
