LET'S SEE YOUR CHRISTMAS GEAR !!!!

AOU sounds awesome but the Cabsim is noisy and all settings are so muddy...Maybe something's wrong with the unit but as I turn Cabsim on the noise is so strong it sounds like a river flowing. Dead silent with Cabsim off instead.

I'll see if I observe the same. I have it left off. I notice the most forward or effective part of the eq is the lowend. I do noisegate mine through a TCE Sentry.

There is a thread in the effects forum that addresses the cab sim / noise issue. Doug
@Darkglass chimed in himself! :)
Happy holidays,

That thing is gorgeous! :bassist: Can I safely assume it isn't a Gibson? Too many non traditional touches.

Hey Mike

No, it's a chambered Les Paul replica in medium 32" scale. It took five years to get it right, we changed directions several times - for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately, it was slightly damaged in shipping when I unboxed it today.

There is a long-winded and very wordy 37 page build thread here if you are interested:

My Les Paul Bass Build - I need a Gibby too...

Happy New Year!

I ordered a geetar today. I’m good on basses for now. What I really need is more recording gear. Mics, preamps, compressors, etc. But, a new guitar is always fun.

I was looking at the Facebook Marketplace on Monday evening at a few listings I'd saved. The kids are already in bed and it's just my wife and I figuring out our last plans before Christmas Eve starts and the madness takes over. She looks over and ribs me a little about "oh... Another Bass, huh?" I joke back about how she might find a little "crushed coal" in her stocking this year, so let me dream about basses. Next thing she says is something along the lines of "why don't you send that person a message and see if we could go get that tomorrow afternoon?" Uhhhh Ok!!!

So I did and we did and on Tuesday I picked up this '06 Warwick Corvette 5er, which has been a GAS list bass for a long time now! Now I can spend my days off getting it cleaned up and set up with some new strings and then play the heck out of it! I've now got three of my four "I want one of those" basses covered. Good times; merry Christmas everyone!
