Let's See Your Current Rigs!

I always have FOH support so my rigs are always stage monitors. I usually run a single 12 - either Eden or Mesa Boogie. I plan to combine them (first time) for an outdoor gig this weekend...and run the two 12s powered by the Walkabout.

Been using this towering inferno for the past decade or so... for the last two or three months I've just been using the top two cabinets w/ that rack head, and then the bottom cab gets paired with a tc electronic BQ500 head so I have a spare rig. Or stereo!

If that top cab is a D-210sxt, it’s good for 80%+ of the gigs I play. The question I have is with the 1-18 cabs. I have one of their 1-15 cabs and was totally underwhelmed with it. I started out with a D-210-XLT and like Hugh the D-115 was the ideal complement. When I found out I got a lot more low end and volume with the 210, I sold the 115 and bought a D-210-SXT. So, tell me about the 118 cabs.

BTW, +1 of stereo with mix matched cabs. When I use both of my cabs I power them in stereo.

My unfinished pedalboard. I need to define the signal chain once I get a few more pieces and then get an actual board. WIP!

I have various other basses and guitars, but this is my gigging rig.

NS Design Omni bass > Polytune > MXR Bass Octave > EBS DynaVerb Bass Reverb > SansAmp Bass Driver DI > Demeter 400D > Epifani UL 210. The Demeter is set flat--all EQing is done at the SansAmp (which is also the DI out to the FOH).

The iPad is running Syntronik's Bully Taurus bass pedal patch, controlled by the McMillen 12 Step USB pedals, so that's my portable, low budget Moog Taurus. It goes direct to the FOH and monitors (although I'm thinking about getting a wedge combo bass amp in order to have better monitor control).

The Fender Acoustasonic six string short scale piccolo bass ;) is going through a PolyTune into a SansAmp GT2 and a Boss TR-2 tremolo pedal, into the Fishman Loudbox amp.

Thanks. I have the same cabs but my amp is the D-800. Do you prefer the 115 on top or bottom? Or does it depend on the venue?

I haven't been out to gig yet. I'm actually looking for a new band. The last one dissolved with COVID. In the sessions I've had over the last few months, room definitely makes a difference. The HPF helps quite a bit, though not yet had to turn it past 10:00. Guitar tone also makes a difference. If the guitar is mid heavy, I like the 15 on top.

From my recent video shoot, my current rig is an AD200B head, 2 OBC115 cabs, showing my Fireglo Ric 4003s. I also have a Jetglo.

Of everything I've seen thus far, this gives me the most "want to play through that asap" vibes. So very different to what I use now, yet both brands are exactly what I would get in a parallel universe. Awesome stuff and I bet the shoot went great! Can't miss with that!
