Thanks. Yes, it’s ebony. The neck itself is pretty fast too. Very comfortable. I love this little rig for both practice and gigs. It’s very efficient.

It really depends on the band and the music, how often I use it. The good thing is, the Ritter trem is very tuning stable, so it plays just like a normal bridge when I don’t need it.

I have been so ignorant of the very, very, many different 'bespoke ' bass guitars, that are out there. I guess, I just didn't look closely. My thinking now, is that even though there are less bass players, than guitar players, bass players own more variety in their instruments.. who knew?, not this old guitar player! I think it's brilliant, that many bass players will spend their hard earned cash on instruments that aren't just what everyone plays. To me, it shows a deep level of dedication, to achieve 'their sound'.. Brilliant!!

I totally agree, that Ebony fretboards are fast, as iv mentioned, i don't understand why its not popular for bass players. I currently use a TT , so I was 'understating ', when I referred to your rigg, as a practice amp. I should have called it , 'a brilliant sounding, extremely portable, bass rigg'. I would love a little Phil Jones box, they sound so good, I just can't justify the cost (for now). My band plays at 'silly volumes ', I run the TT into (great sounding) clipping, driving 2 or 3 Bergs..
