I think fuzz lovers are some of the most opinionated people around when it comes time to suggest something. I don't think any more than 2 agree on a single pedal in this thread! That's the beauty of it though. All these suggestions have to lead to something you like right? Maybe... lol.

Anyway, here's my suggestion. I own it and so far love it but I wouldn't mind trying out a Wooly Mammoth (clone, no way would I'd ever pay that much for a pedal that does so little) myself.

The Fuzz war is insanely good. As in I didnt use any other pedal for a year after I got it. The only lameness is the volume pot has a funny contour. It's very hard to get an even volume between the clean and fuzz levels. The volume will go from teensy to HUGE in a fraction of an inch.

Hey There!
I have just bought my fuzz war, still on its way from UK.
I have been drooling the very first tim i heard it in a video from This Will Destroy You (black dunes, studio demo). And had to buy it blind.
I am glad not to be the only one thinking that it's THE muff sound one would expect from a bass, warm, dark, LOW.
Is there a way to solve the volume issue?

Thank you,
Sergio

HAHAHAHAHAHA
LOUDEST MUFF EVER.

...it really is...

You have to work with the internal trim pot + the other two knobs.
You could always ask Oliver to mod it for a volume pot.
