Actually, I was referring to the fact that if you did the DPDT as a flip switch, then stepped on the existing bypass in "fuzz only" mode, you would end up making a feedback loop for your fuzz box. While some might consider that a 'feature', most would call it malfunctional.
Also, the DPDT 'mode' switch probably wouldn't be a quiet affair w/o some tinkering......
as for the $30-40: only if you don't need to pay for shipping, buy any equipment / tools to build it, have lots of extra patch cables and room to spare on you pedal board, and your time isn't worth much!
That said, it would be against my personal idiom to suggest not trying something just to see if you can pull it off!
