Let's solve an FX loop puzzle!!

Actually, I was referring to the fact that if you did the DPDT as a flip switch, then stepped on the existing bypass in "fuzz only" mode, you would end up making a feedback loop for your fuzz box. While some might consider that a 'feature', most would call it malfunctional.

Also, the DPDT 'mode' switch probably wouldn't be a quiet affair w/o some tinkering......

as for the $30-40: only if you don't need to pay for shipping, buy any equipment / tools to build it, have lots of extra patch cables and room to spare on you pedal board, and your time isn't worth much!

That said, it would be against my personal idiom to suggest not trying something just to see if you can pull it off!
 
I've got a Meatwad with an early solution to this, although mine switches to the loop being available in bypass but not available when the filter is in use, so it's slightly different to the suggestion in the O.P.

I would back Mario to sort it out though, he knows these things!
 
Would you be able to do this with a LoopMaster Micro ABY Box and Y-Splitter? Though, this would take up a lot of real estate on a pedalboard.

This way you can run
Bass > GR In > GR Send > Fuzz IN > Fuzz out > A/B/Y IN > A Out > Y-Splitter > Amp; so you only hear fuzz
or
Bass > GR In > GR Send > Fuzz IN > Fuzz out > A/B/Y IN > B Out > GR Recieve > GR Out > Y-Splitter > Amp; so you hear GR + fuzz

Edit: Nevermind, the GR has to be engaged for this to work.

Mario, are you talking about having a DPDT switch for the fuzz, as well as another switch for the GR bypass?

I'm still unsure of how replacing the regular input->output bypass of the GR with a return->output bypass would put the fuzz in a feedback loop. I can't see how this connects the inputs and outputs of the fuzz together.

no point doing that. you can do it all with an LS-2.

Bass -> GR INPUT
GR SEND -> Fuzz INPUT
FUZZ OUT -> LOOPER INPUT
LOOPER SEND -> GR RECEIVE
GR OUT -> LOOPER RECEIVE
LOOPER OUT -> Amp


and yes that should work, you would just leave the GR on all the time and use the looper as the switch.
 
is someone could find a solution to this it would change my life!

I got Martin Owen from Owen Electronics (UK based) to add a bypass to my Meatwad. He got in touch with Mario and found a solution as there wasn't much space within the enclosure for him to work with. It works exactly as I wanted it and now have my fuzz and dirt back - with no loopers to baby sit it - and yes it changed my life:hyper:
 
Hey....

This is what I mean:

The Modes are 'stock' and 'filter bypass'.

Fixed the 'feedback loop' issue as the new mode switch will simply disable the existing bypass.
